No need for the call and no need for a detailed explanation. The info was already given to you here. The 2 cars you mentioned you'd bring are fwd, why try to argue something that isn't going to be changed?
for the record just to clarify as to why i wasn't there was because my personal life schedule didn't permit me to. if it would have, i would most certainly have been there for the whole event from start to finish.
also for the record, i was also planning on bringing my 240sx as well. i didn't mention it, but yes i was planning on bringing it. that's the sole reason i'm upset about this whole rwd disqualification.
raul and i had a very detailed conversation about the subject for about 2 hrs. he finally gave me some good valid points and explanations as to why the sr20 powered rwd cars will not be awarded. the explanations were better then the "just because" as him and patrick made it seem by their previous posts. one of rauls explanation was the "too little too late" phrase and i do agree since the day of the convention is almost around the corner, but i stand by my opinion and don't agree with the other reasons he gave me to a certain extent, but at least i voiced my opinion and it's some food for thought for next years convention. at the end of the day he is the organizer of the event so it really is at his discretion whether the decision is fair or not. so in rauls words "it is what it is". i will respect his decision even though i don't agree with it. furthermore, raul and i agreed on a resolution if the category is opened up for next years convention, so we shall see.
as far as the trophies go we came up with a conclusion as well, so we shall see how that works out.
