Planning an event like this is very hard work so I am not going to waste my time and appease to anyone who wants to pout and complain that we are not having a road course event, if need be I will provide pacifiers for anyone who needs it.

If you were not up to the challenge, may I ask why you VOLUNTEERED to host? As anyone who attended knows, SR2013 was a nightmare to pull off due to weather on the scheduled drag day. I have never drag raced in my life, but I put in the needed time and effort to ensure that EVERYONE attending was able to enjoy their racing venue of choice. I believe it's fair to demand the same from all future hosts lest this whole endeavor collapses. Last year's event being cancelled was truly out of the organizers control as the track was shut down weeks prior to the event. This year YOU just didn't do all of your homework and now the entire team loses.

And since I'm one of the whiny bitches you are willing to write off because we're not worth your time, I'll take my pacifier in red.

Joe, for one, yes I volunteered.......not to prove a point but to have a convention other than Ohio or Ga, and I was in communication from the get go when I first approached a few planning members after the last convention, and they were on all in included when the dates and events were being planned. I based the dates on the availability of the hotel, go-kart, road race, and drag race, but unfortunately our spot was yanked by a lic SCCA event, so yeah I was pissed as well and I had an ear full with the track manager, so don't sit there on the sideline questioning my commitment to the convention. I rather not cry over spilled milk and just move on.

One red pacifier coming up

This is confusing as hell. The convention is to be held in Winchester Va, the go karting in WV and the drag strip in MD? The fuck? Update the first post to accurately reflect the state of the convention.

On the border

From the hotel:
20min to Summit Point Raceway
50min to Mason Dixon

So if I understand correctly the circuit track has been taken back for an SCCA event? Is there really anything tying us to Summit then? Sounds like focusing on the MD area may be better. We are still months out so realistically cant we just change the venues?

I looked on the schedule and i see nothing but a practice for licensed drivers on Summit Point main for Friday, June 19th. Nothing on the schedule for the track I thought we were heading to.
