2015 SR20 National Convention Winchester, Virginia
Well ladies and gentlemen it is 100% official. The 2015 SR20 National Convention will be held in Winchester, Virginia (location of the hotel). All events will be held at Summit Point Raceway in Charlestown, West Virginia.

This year the Convention is being lead and mainly organized by @Madtec (Ralphy) he approached us with a great location and tons of ideas and here we go!!!!

A formal section will be created soon. Let the preps begin!

I Efffiinnnnnnnnnngggggggggg Knew it!

Sweet! my backyard!

When I heard @Madtec was involved, all I was doing was waiting for the announcement.

And if anyone wants to know, they are currently doing track renovations (in regards to safety) currently. Heading there next week to crew for my brother for SCCA and then the week after I will be taking to the track myself

Awesome news!

That is a very good thing!

Considering an instructor died there this year at a NASA event (Hyperfest), major safety renovations are in order (removal of several trees for starters). I will wait to see what gets done because for now it is on my never attend list (...heard from too many people about safety concerns at that track!)

To correct you
1) The instructor didn't die on Summit Main but on Jefferson (much much worse than Main in regards to the safety aspect).
2) It was not a Hyperfest related event. It was a private driver who paid for driver training and not sanctioned by either SCCA or NASA.

Not to say Main wasn't dangerous or to standup for the Hyperfest event (which is always a shit show!).

Either way, a 12 hour drive 1-way to drive there is simply not going to happen for us. We are cutting back on just NASA and track events in general too for 2015 to be perfectly honest (limited funds dictate this).

^ largely due to major cutback on instructing... after my concussion last year from a student hitting the tire wall with me in the car at 90mph, I'm just not as interested in instructing any more (funny how stuff that happens makes your re-evaluate what you do!)

Sweet, only 7.5 hours for me. Do we have dates yet? Just hoping it doesn't conflict with anything.
