Tires tires tires
What are y'all running for tires @ Streets ??? Looking for 225/45R15

Currently have 225/45R15 Toyo RA1's butting looking for other options.

Let me know what your running and what your paying. Trying to stay under $150/tire

Thanks

Im planning to do NT01's. 225/45/15's. They are about $157 each mounted and balanced at the place I am buying from.
A really good bang for the buck tire a lot of us ran last year were the Federal 595 RS-R in 205/50/15 however the the tires run wide so they were more like 225's. Those were about $350 mounted and balanced.

Right now I am down to:

Toyo Proxes RA1 @ $184/ea
Toyo Proxes RR @ $187/ea
Hoosier R6 @ $247/ea OUCH !!!

Now these are Tire Rack prices... I have found for slightly less locally but locally also save me the freight.

I have ran the Toyo RA1's before so for $3 more a tire I might just jump for the Toyo RR.

Yeah RS3's are a really good bang for their buck. I know tons of guys who do time attack events and run RS3's as their competition tire.

Dave I want to say we are taking about 15's. Most likely on a 15x7 or 15x8 wheel.

I have RE-11's on both of the Turbo B14's and RE-11A on the 99 SE-L . The RE-11's seem to last longer. IIRC they are a slightly harder compound.

I ended up running the 7+ yr old RA-1's and they handled great. I was able to turn 1:30's @ streets. Not bad for being my first time out on that track in probably 12 years I think. Thou ShagNuts got the car to turn 1:24.7 I can't wait to get the NX on the track soon with fresh tires.
