even if i dont take my car on the track i will be putting money into the fund to help this happen and somebody can enjoy themselves on my behalf. They just have to ride around with a blow up doll in the front seat

As far as running in the rain, I had a bad experience once in my B14 - a last gen RX7 I was behind took a corner too hot in light/moderate rain an ended up turning around facing me and I missed him by a few feet, I thought about it for weeks and didn't want to go to a track ever again. This was years ago. I didn't do the track event in Ohio in 2012 because it was raining. Sure a car can still go too hot on dry pavement, anything can happen, but I was freaked out about it, and afterwards the guy was apologizing profusely and said he admitted he underestimated the wet track. Luckily B14's have airbags, my B13 doesn't....

So IDK. I have a feeling it's going to be nice out though this time around.

When you fall off the horse, dust yourself off and get back on the horse. Living in fear is teh suck.

Well luckily I didn't fall off anything but it fucked with my head for awhile. I thought that was going to be it, I was like 24, my parents disapproved of me and the car stuff and made me call them after, I never told them what happened. I was doing at least 70 because I remember I was near the top of 3rd gear and I'm thinking he was at 80+ and he freaked cause his back slid and spun around and the momentum rolled him backwards. like slow motion.. but of course that could happen on any track any condition.

I was inches off Rob's rear bumper when he went for an off road spin in a mazdaspeed miata... also very slow motion.... everything turned out ok though... plenty of run off room at nelson

Isn't that the strangest thing, that slow motion phenomenon? Because it really feels like things slow down.. some psychologists think it's the human brain basically on steroids, activating numerous areas at near full cognition as an attempt to best survive the situation with all senses on highest alert. And for some reason that makes us feel/see/hear/smell everything at once when we normally ignore much of it and it gives the impression of a longer duration of time. Even now a year after a car accident, I can still taste white powder of airbag, hear the ringing in my ears, smell the chemicals, and see that car coming for me....

I wish we had that on video.... My aunt and I laugh about this all the time. Nothing happened at all. It was actually a lot of fun in a crazy type of way.

A whole two, apparently.

Come on guys, I will bump this thread each day until we get some more to sign-up for this super-cheap, wonderful track that is a huge part of American racing history.

The sign-ups will happen. They always do. No need to worry.

As stated elsewhere, I'll be paying for my track time, donating for the picnic, and other related things very soon. I was hoping to do so this week, but it might be a little bit longer. The marriage ceremony stuff and necessary car repairs are getting my financial attention right now.
