Thread: Carshow Picnic Donations Info 2014

As some of you already know, Rob and I changed things up in 2012 Ohio. Prior to that, you were required to purchase food/picnic carshow tickets along other fee’s to attend a convention which would add up and increase the overall cost for participants. We understand everyones budget varies and wanted to keep it affordable for all especially since travel is a major cost. Rob and I decided to continue this and keep the Carshow/Picnic Day Free which includes free food at the picnic. This is our way to thank you the participants for attending.

The money we collect would be used to cover convention cost such as rental of picnic grounds, food, prizes, etc and like I said before any convention money left over will go towards a future convention. Basically the idea is as the conventions continue to grow, so does the cost and it’s much easier for us to have a pot of money to start with rather than starting from nothing at all.

I want everyone to understand that we host the conventions for the community and not for profit; we the organizers put a lot of time and work into this and in return get rewarded by seeing all of you enjoying the convention. The main point is to keep it affordable to all across the board.

Rob along with myself would like to start off with a $500.00 donation for 2014

Please put "Donation" as the subject line since we will use the same email address for other collections such as convention shirts and roadcourse payments.
The donation amount is totally up to you, any amount will greatly be appreciated

I will keep a posted list in this thread of people who have donated along with any updates.

Last but not least, I want to personally thank you all who have participated and help us put these conventions together. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact me. I want everyone to be clear and feel secure about how I handle convention funds just as I did in 2012. The last thing I want is a repeat of finical insecurity that would threaten the conventions to continue to be ongoing.

Thank you to the guys who have already donated. Like I mentioned before these donations kick ass and are tons of help.

Can I just bring like 50 hot dogs/hamburgers like I did last time? I stopped at the grocery store that was down the road a bit if you made a right out of the picnic parking lot and stuff wasn't too expensive in bulk. With all the buns I think it was like 90 bucks.

That would be great. This was a big help for 2012 since we almost ran out of food if it wasn't for you Jordan. I believe its up to the individual on how they would like to help out. Who am I to only want to accept money, I understand everyone ideas or situation is different. As long as Rob, Mark or myself are in the loop, we should be good. Thanks for the support.
