Thread: 2014 Official Caravan Thread

We should meet somewhere. I'll be leaving the Philly area sometime Wednesday.

I'm about 20-25 min north of you. What are you trailering with?

^^^This is still the plan! My goal is to leave around 7pm (in an attempt to miss some traffic) and drive to Texarkana - brilliantly named because it borders Texas and Arkansas. Texarkana is ~5.5-6hrs away from my area which would put me there around 1am...there is also an extremely nice rest area/travel center which is where I plan on closing one eye for a few minutes.

@Fatboyse-r, Seeing as we're 10 days out, I guess we need to firm up the plan. I was planning on using the east/west turnpike to get out there. We could meet at the Wegmans in King of Prussia? It's right off the KOP exit. I'm thinking Weds, 10am'ish?

Let me know your thoughts.

Is that what we did 2 years ago? Or did we go up 476?

I would love to meet up with some. Still not sure which route I am taking yet, turnpike or 80. I most likely leaving around 11 or 12ish.

Here's the plan for Hank and I, and anyone else leaving or wanting to meet us in the Philadelphia area. We will leave from the King of Prussia area at 10:30am Wednesday and head west on I-76 to Harrisburg, PA.

We will pass through Harrisburg at approximately 12 noon. From Harrisburg we will leave I-76 to travel up rt 322 to State College, PA.

We should arrive in State College at around 1:30 then continue up I-99 to I-80 by 2pm. From there we'll make our way west on I-80 all the way to Independence, OH.

I suspect we'll cross I-79, north of Pittsburgh, between 4:00 and 5pm and arrive at the hotel around 6.

Anyone coming from NJ that wants to join our caravan should plan to be in King of Prussia @ 10:30.

Anyone coming from eastern PA that wants to join our caravan should plan to be in Harrisburg @ noon.

Anyone coming from Baltimore or D.C. area that wants to join our caravan should plan to be in State College @ 1:30pm.

Anyone coming from Long Island, NYC, CT, etc that wants to join our caravan should plan to be on I-80, exit 158, Travel Center of America at 2 pm.

We will of course update these times if we see a large interest in a particular meet point that may delay the group.

Anyone interested in meeting up with us along this path please pm me with a confirmation and I'll put you on the list.

I'm trying to meet up when yinz pass Pittsburgh. Prob Grove City area.....? I imagine you'd reach there by around 4 or 5 then?
