fingers crossed i can make it to the drag day and/or cruise at least. wife is due May 25th so it will be extremely tough.

Meh, the grandparents should go visit and you can just take a few days away to "get out of their way." Baby will mainly sleep anyways for the first month or so.

Of course that's if you have a car running by then...ijs.

For the car cruise, you may already have it planned, but I would suggest a 2-way radio channel to be listed before we go on it. This way we can all stick together.

I know there are some smart phone apps that work well too, but if we're going to head to rural areas, I'd recommend using radios to avoid loss of cell signal.

I have a pair of them, but you can pick them up relatively cheap if you don't have them.
