Thread: Convention Dates Are Official

Screw that. They were assholes. There are plenty of other hotels to stay at. I'd rather have it a little "rustic" and be able to socialize all night than get yelled at like a child by some bigoted douche bag. As long as it doesn't have bugs, I'm good.... ---> --->

Smaller hotels usually are small and have cheap rates for a reason.

I do NOT envy the amount of work that is done in preparation for a convention to try to keep everyone happy.

Looking for a hotel that is decently priced, nice rooms (with families/spouses coming), a convention room, more than ample parking, centrally located, and priced well is not easy. I can name a few in my area that meet most of the criteria, but they'd be 150+/night or would be truck stops (unclean). And we know if it's that pricey, a lot of guys just stay home. And if the wifey/family isn't happy with cleanliness...let's just say that NOBODY will be happy.

Yea I remember that. So was Connecticut.

I really hope that the convention we had out here this past weekend opened up the eyes to everyone on how much of a blast sr20 conventions are. I was surprised by the turn out and hope these guys make the trip out to Ohio and other National conventions. I know there are a few that are making plans for next June.

Oh and yeah, I'll be there

So far only thing solid are the dates and the track rental. I am working with a few hotels at the moment to get us the best overall deal. Within the next few weeks details will start to iron out. Once all is locked in a formal thread will be created with all the 100% details.

I just cant wait for this convention. The 2012 convention was just a blast. The ride back from Sat's drag strip night was very memorable. I caught up to all of those honda bitches and put a beat down on them again with my G35 coupe. I hit triple digit speeds a few times that night as well.

I would have to agree with the parking situation. I will be there with a trailer for sure this year, so the bigger the lot, the better.

I thought our hotel was awesome, minus the BS from the front desk. However, if you really think about it, we didn't get kicked out and they didn't mess with us that much after the initial time. Even though we did rent out almost the entire place, they still had to be concerned about the people that were not with us. Maybe we should try and be respectful to the place we were staying at just a tad more, especially on the week nights. Think about it from a Management/other guest stand point. There I go sounding like an old man...
