Lol. I thought I was quickly becoming the villain. Seriously though, I agree with what you said. I lot of guys did get into these cars because the used entry price was inexpensive, and parts were cheap and plentiful. Funny thing is, now they are getting enough age on them that certain parts are getting harder and harder, if not impossible, to find. In 1993 though... I did consider it just an overpriced econo box blessed with an engine that absolutely wouldn't quit, an abundance of simplicity, and just enough go fast additions to make it interesting. 20 years later that's still what endears itself to me. Not the best at anything, but so damn good, at so many different things! B13 soapbox rant #113 completed. Back to the business at hand.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I wonder how many of us (original owners) there are on here? Can't be many. I'll never get rid of mine. I told my wife to bury me in it. I'm actually looking for one for my 16 year old daughter. She wants "a car just like dad's race car but red with the little spoiler it used to have on the trunk" :-D

That won't happen. I really wish you were able to stay, we would have had to park next to each other to at least maintain stock integrity.

I am working on a response for you but progress that I find is few and far between. I know someone doing the proposed plan, but infancy stages.

I am in the minority for being an "original owner" but I am the owner of an "original" B13 and I won't change it or do anything to it. I, also, have stated to my loved ones, please bury me in this car. I am 100% sure on that. The car is just, plain, fun in the stock trim.

Yes, and YES! I thought I might have overstepped my boundaries, but thanks for working on my question. I'm old, I'm patient, but I want it to be right, if nothing else. Thanks also for committing to carrying the torch. Seriously, keeping it stock will never be the easy thing to do, but it will capture a moment in history, and that trumps anything else this lowly car could ever hope to accomplish. There is going to be a lot of SE-R burial vaults. That says more for this car than anything else I can think of.

Yet another generation of fans of the original SE-R. Thank you!! That's the single best thing any of us can hope to do. Most of us original owners would have never imagined what this car would become, and that says a lot more than our praise ever could. Long live the classic my friends, and much gratitude to the dedicated owners who continue to keep it alive.

stock is fun until you drive a properly modified version. Then stock does not do it for you any more.

Agreed. But I've tried to keep the cost down over the years, that's why mine is only slightly modified ;-)
