Heavily modified focuses? I guess if there are so many out there, I need to adjust my focus
I'm sure Ford sold a lot of Ford Tempos as well during the 90's, it doesn't mean you see a turbo one every day(ever?).

GROW THE FUCK UP
This happens every year about this time. If you want a convention in your back yard then here is what you need to do: grow some ballz, put your big boy pants on, and bring a chair over to the adult table. Those of us that do the work every year to pull off the convention would love some more help. And here is a really outrageous thought - consider coming to a convention that is not close to you first. Think about it like this. If you aren't willing to come to the conventions we are already hosting, which by the way are attended by people from all over these United States, why would anyone come to your convention? It's going to be you and your local friends. Over here at the adult table we call that a meet.
End Rant
Hey Joe(and roll-eyes),
People seem to be thinking you're directing this post somewhat towards my comments and that being true or not, I feel the need to address this post for those that think you were which may include yourself..
First off, I've attended 2 conventions. 2010 Omaha & 2012 Ohio. Pretty sure I had the record for LONGEST drive in a turbo, ass-pounding, no cruise-control b14 that year and maybe others. 700+ miles one way and 1400 miles round trip. That doesn't include all the driving I did during the convention which adds up to a couple hundred more, probably over 2000 miles. Looking at Google Maps tells me we both made pretty much the same drive in terms of distance. Now, was it a long drive - hell yes. Did I make it - hell yes.
Being that there wasn't a public discussion about where the 2014 convention would be (unless I missed it), I thought I'd comment on where the NEXT (read: 2015) convention should be(as mentioned in my post). I wasn't complaining about the location of 2014, only suggesting we should consider having it somewhere a little more west. Opening dialogue. The conventions for the last 3 years including next year have all been pretty heavily weighted on the eastern side of the US. Now, are there people willing to host it in Indiana or near Chicago? I have no idea, but if there is, we should consider it. Obviously if there aren't people there/willing to host then it won't happen.
Also, a convention in Indy would still be 500 mile one-way drive for me. Not sure I call that close. Close-R, but not close.
