Drag racing update
First of I thank everyone for their patience. As you likely know, we did have some more overnight rainfall in the area. I have been on the phone with Mike Savage (Atlanta Dragway manager) this morning and here is where we stand:
- Our planned start time of noon is off.
- Sometime between now and about 1 pm, and based on what happens with the weather system, the track management will have to make a call on the scheduled test and tune session for tonight. That schedule was gates at 6 pm and racing from 6:30-11 pm.
- If we can get in for a couple hours before the scheduled event tonight they will try to make that happen, but right now this is a long shot.
- If tonight's event does not get cancelled, we will get 2 lanes and preferential status
- If tonight gets cancelled, there is a POSSIBILTY of getting a couple hours tomorrow night. There is a big swap meet already paid for tomorrow from 7 am - 3 pm. This option would require more from us in terms of monies, catch me in person for more details.
AND PRAY FOR THE WEATHER TO COOPERATE!!!!!
