Thread: Change of plans for Katie. Anyone driving through Columbia SC after 4 PM?

Something has come up and Katie won't be able to make the scheduled caravan leave-time of 2 PM in Columbia, SC. I would like to avoid delaying or missing the caravan if I can, and Katie was thinking about driving herself in her VW Beetle to Atlanta. I'd like to avoid having the Beetle in ATL, and avoid the both of us driving both ways alone if at all possible. I have a one-way car rental lined up, but I'm wondering if someone else driving to the convention could pick her up and give her a lift instead? We can split fuel cost for sure. Hell, I'll pay the entire fuel cost for that leg of the trip. She will have one medium-size luggage bag with her and would probably prefer not to share driving duties (she is timid driving unfamiliar cars, although she is an excellent driver including manual transmissions).

Katie will be done with her previous engagements, packed and ready to go shortly after 4 PM and can leave at any time after that. This is Wednesday June 5th I'm talking about.

Any takers?

Ben let me see if Mu-Yin is coming. She would be driving separate from me due to her lack of interest in automobiles.

It looks like I'll just be leaving a bit later and missing out on the caravan so Katie and I can ride together. As I was creating this thread it become very clear that waiting to leave was a no-brainer solution, so I guess this served some purpose.
