I've ordered new brake rotors (OEM Euro E36 M3 2-piece floating rotors are a direct replacement) and Hawk Performance Ceramic pads for the front of the clown shoe.

I'm working on ordering the engine oil soon.

I'm hoping the Hawk pads will be close to OEM performance while cold and on the track, but produce a lot less dust. Everyone loves the performance of the OEM BMW pads, but the dust is atrocious. I'm pretty sure the OEM pads are made from recycled crayons. The usual replacements if you want near OEM performance but less dust are Axxis/PBR Deluxe and Hawk Performance Ceramic. We'll see.

The European E36 M3 brake rotors I want are no longer shipped by BMW to any US parts dealers, because they are jerks.

I'm scrambling to find some sold in the US, or I might have a contact in Germany to help me out. Also Canada might be an option?

Not sure if this link (from eBay Canada) will help or not? I did the G*ogle search with "Euro-spec" and that is the link I got. It lists a bunch of Canadian BMW parts vendors. Maybe one of those Canadian vendors would have what you are looking for? I did not specifically check the individual stores.

Given the fact that 45 Special Edition[/I] "Euro-spec" E36 M3 BMW's were sold in Canada, it might point to the fact that there is a dealer or two that supplies parts for them.

Happy hunting!

Are you sure about using Hawk's ceramic line for track duty? I think you're going have fade issues with those.

Hank, generally I'd be expecting the same thing, however the brakes on these cars are oversized compared to most. They tend to run cooler and handle track duty just fine with OEM rotors and pads if you follow my thinking. Absolutely no one upgrades to a BBK for performance on these cars. Those are for looks only, or 500+ WHP cars.
The stock brakes were exceptional at VIR last summer.
If the Hawk Ceramic pads perform around 80-90% of OEM pads then I should be okay I think. Adding the floating rotors (which cool better) should make up for any difference?

We'll see. =/

I think I've found a new source for the floating rotors. If not, I have someone in Germany willing to help out. One way or another, this should work out. Thanks for the help guys.
