Definitely 81. We drive down to Nashville, Atlanta, Alabama and the Florida gulf all the time. 81 is the way to go, especially to avoid the morning rush hour traffic through DC Tuesday. 95 is always a mess. Too busy.

And I have a short cut using I-70 out of Baltimore to jump over to 81 in Winchester.

Okay. So you're going 70 to 340 to 7 to 81, down by Summit Point? I know that area somewhat. Let me know your plans. I have an appointment with 2Jracing first thing Weds morning, so i don't wanna get in too late Tues night. I'm thinking I'd need to roll at 6am to get in Atlanta at a reasonable hour and allow for any snufu's along the way. I seem to remember Joe having an issue a few year's back taking some ungodly amount of time to get up to the Northeast.

The last few conventions I have made it to, I didn't even worry about reserving a room or anything, I just showed up and crashed wherever someone had room, so if you can't reserve a room, don't worry, someone will take you in.

they were playing Wii where I was gonna sleep in 09 so I had to crash on some floor where they were building like a pillow fort. that's all i recall really...lol

The pillow fort was our room! Still crack up when I see pictures of Stacey aka "Brown Sarah" holding a PBR in bed with pillows all around her.

Yes, that is the route. Anytime you want to leave is fine with me.

What are u doing at 2Jracing?

Joe's crew had trouble during their trip? I think they call it too many pee stops! My usual time from home to Atlanta is 14 hours. Towing may be longer. Of course if I slow you down too much I don't mind at all if you go ahead without me. I usually tow around 75.

Beam bending....you know that silly thing us B14 guys have to do to turn....lol

I was fine with your pace last year. Getting 34MPG is a nice feature in these little turds. Lets firm it up in a few weeks.

How much was a single room? I suspect it is much cheaper to get a double and split it. Anyone else need a room to split?

$59

Hank, where did you get a $59 rate for a single room? I just called. $79 is their lowest rate for a single or two bed room

I just paid $99 a night. There's only 1 room left after my reservation.
