Ok let me clarify, opponent should have:

1) Full interior/no hidden weight reduction
2) What would be deemed a conservative amount of boost. No 325hp monsters.
2) You can have big exhaust/JWT cams/ECU/injectors etc. of course
3) No slicks
4) 5 speed tranny

My VE has intake, header, 3" exhaust, N1 cams, supertech valve springs, N60 MAF, good ECU tune, MSD window box, G-spec underdrive crank and water pump pulleys, Fidanza flywheel, JGY PP/B15 clutch disc. Full interior, nothing removed, everything is there. EVERYTHING.

I am just doing this for fun and to stir up some of you guys, seems like it's working Come on, we're all friends here

oh and BTW, i'm not exactly expecting to win, unless I get lucky. My car runs 13.6-13.8's with good launches. I need some new tires though

Dependant on which 6 speed is being use it might have an advantage as far as gearing goes as well depending on the setup one vs the other. A p12 gearbox on a T2 setup would probably see an advantage with the gearing as it should be crossing the line close to redline in 4th vs not even close in the 5 speed box.

It was under the impression that the 6 speed would have an advantage (traction too I guess) with the shift points. So yeah you pretty much got it.

Again, it all depends on which box. The 04+ box wouldnt have a shift point advantage because the gears are longer than a b13/b14 gearbox. A p12 box on a t2 car would be an advantage both traction wise and shift point wise.

Instead of racing a turbo car how about racing a Ve with a little nitrous ?

Reminds me of some Cake...

Reluctanlty crouched at the starting line,
Engines pumping and thumping in time.
The green light flashes, the flags go up.
Churning and burning, they yearn for the cup.
They deftly maneuver and muscle for rank,
Fuel burning fast on an empty tank.

...wish I could make it!
