ghettomax fastest to date was 9.84@148mph with 600whp
and spinning does in fact net you a higher mph, your car might have just been a fluke...a 1400hp fwd car trapping 190mph is most certainly blowing the tires off

Again still right on with 600whp power numbers. Put it this way, most 700whp hondas that run in the 9's are running 9.6-9.9 with 700whp and trapping 153-157mph dependant on the weight of the vehicle. Again the 6 speed trans gearing is about as perfect as you can get with for a car going for 9's. My car weight was actually a little less than the hondas running in that class putting up those numbers.

Like I said, on a full good pass the car would have gone 153-155mph, simple as that. It never did but it will be back out. Thats all I can say.

And you would have to have just an all around shitty pass to go 12.8@128mph hahahaha. 3.0 60ft is right and then spin and granny shift the whole way down the track.

Nada, a fwd car needs 190mph trap speeds to get that high. Speedfactory did 192mph not spinning a single bit. But a rwd car with the same power will go just as fast with a 170mph trap....Why? Because of the 60ft alone. Simple as that. Speedfactory was pulling 1.45 60ft while the muscle car they were racing was pulling 1.1-1.2 it has nothing to do with spinning.

Ive tested this out on several of my setups. The runs where i had the best launch and the most traction always always trapped higher. Every time. That same day speedfactory ran and blew the tires off they trapped like 185 on a different pass. The pass they had the most traction and full out acceleration, the higher their car trapped.

Now when I was n/a, every time i would spin badly in 1st gear, it would always trap higher.

There is a huge difference of spinning badly in just 1st gear and spinning badly in every gear. Spinning all gears is just wasting acceleration time. Just like bogging and babying through 1st, huge waste of acceleration time. On a turbo car, the more traction you have, the higher your trap will be. Its science dude.

that car went as fast as it did because it weighed nothing, had wheelie bars, and was on a good track it had nothing to do with how much hp it had because to be correct the 600hp set up NEVER went down the track...and i know this for a fact because the bottom end that was in the car at that time became mine, and it remains in the deep family

A perfect example of trap speed differences spinning vs not spinning was my run vs Jamie at Summit and my run at Dragway 42. At summit I pretty much had full traction the entire pass. My 1/8th mile mph at summit was 116mph with zero spinning and still the bogged and baby through 1st. At Dragway 42 spinning all the way through the 1/8th mile, my trap there was only 107mph. Thats a pretty significant difference in trap speed. Again perfect example of the difference of spinning just 1st gear and spinning every gear and trap speed relation. I think at summit the car could have gone 120mph in the 1/8th.

I just cant wait to get it back out there with the changes. Should be exciting. And cant wait to see what Chappy does with his. Again dont let these n/a guys push you turbo guys around at the convention. Bring it and bring it hard.

This year will go to an N/A car. I hope the turbo boys bring the heat. Only way it won't happen is if we don't bring either of the n/a cars from our camp lol

There will be a lot of turbo guys that won't be at the drag strip though. Some people just aren't into the drag racing thing. Personally, that may change once I see more of it in person.

Brent, seeing it may bore you to death. You need to get out there. A lot of people say oh its driving fast in a straight line. There is more to it than that. I would love to see some T3 turbo cars dipping down into the 10's. It really is not that difficult. Time to get some meth kits and crank the boost fellas!
