I'm very seriously considering driving back there for this.. But to do it I will need to put a new exhaust in my car. It's too loud as is..

I really do want to come though..

Just double checking, you need a full rear-exit exhaust, right?

You can have any exhaust that is not louder than 98 dB at 50 feet

The management at AMP has been more than gracious with us, but we are looking for 3 more peeps to step up this week to be able to make our down payment. For the record we are now at $2490 and need to be at $3000.

Anyone else interested?

I sent an email to AMP today in hopes that we still have a date in reserve. I cannot emphasize enough that if this falls apart so will next years convention, at least as far as somewhere in the south is concerned. This very issue we are having with getting commitment was what led to the near cancellation of the convention we had back in 2011.

So frustrated and in all honesty sad that I have resorted to begging to keep this alive.

No one wants a cheap as hell, beautiful as all get out track to race our beloved cars on?

This is, by far, the best way of getting out into the track. If this is really dead, then what is the point of driving these cars! Come on, folks. Hop on the damn trolley!!!!

All those people who said they would be going havent paid up yet? I dont think I could attend a drag race convention. I am a road course type of person. Going fast in a straight line does nothing for me and proves nothing.
