Yeah I was a bit confused too. I'm nice but not that nice lol.

I am still a 100% go on this. I'll be bringing my girlfriend and thats about it so plenty of room for 2 people and luggage. I have a tonneau cover so luggage is protected. Truck is a dream to take on long trips but never hauled anything so I'm excited to pop the cherry.

Btw, can someone tell me what hotels are close by?

My gf is an Events and Catering Manager at the Atlantic Hotel in Lauderdale and has a ton of connections so if I can tell her to hook us up at a nice hotel for a reasonable price I can get that going immediately. Something above Holiday Inn/Days Inn / etc.

Just throwing that out there although I'm sure we barely will be in the hotels.

BTW for those with families...last time we incorporated a family vacation at Hilton Head during the convention. It turned out to be PERFECT! (In-laws and everything...yikes!)

We will probably all come out as a family next year too. Woot!

I spoke with Danielle from Cambria Suites this morning. She is now the assistant manager and worked at the front desk during the 2009 convention. She was going to pull our folder and have the sales manager get in touch with me. They would love to have us back and I know the feeling is mutual. Should have solid info in the next couple weeks.

I also spoke with Kaye from Roebling Road and we may be able to set our date earlier than September. Like maybe even sometime in July if everything breaks our way. Things are starting to fall into place, the last piece is getting a drag strip test and tune day figured out.
