I like the data being collected. Pretty simple really. Get as many people as possible. draw an X across the map using the most densely populated areas as the ends of the X and smack it in the middle. Then choose the closest city that has the facilities we require.

Also a question. What about a convention in the middle of the sticks? As long as there is a road course, drag strip, and a hotel large enough does it matter that much to people? All we do is really hang out with each other anyway.

Hell lets find a big farm and call it SRstock 2013....

Thats not a bad idea. I remember Hank posting a comment about it being in the same location to make things eaiser. Its all a matter of making a few calls, etc. Still waiting to see what others bring to the table for 2013.

Yeah and if I remember correctly Joe (happynole) brought this up about GA also. Certainly not a bad idea for sure!

I like this idea. Being in the sticks wouldn't matter to me much. Especially if I did it solo (sans family)

If we do Ohio again next year, and I'm not deployed... I WILL bring my family along. I think they'd love the area (especially the lake).

Agreed on the sticks and hanging out anyways. That is pretty much exactly what we do.

And they might let us Parking Lot Party a bit more hardy in a rural setting. The Savannah Parking Lot party scene was epic. Ohio was significantly more strict in that particular regard. Although Ohio let us get away with murder at both tracks.

A couple of decent restaurants, a 24-hour Dennys or Waffle House, a handful of fast-foods, a Quicky-Mart w/gas pumps, maybe a liquor store, and we're in business. Obviously throw in the Hoe-Tel and the two (2) tracks within a reasonable distance.

You could find all that minus the race tracks at nearly any big off-ramp off most freeways.
