I know, just giving you a hard time. You could probably count on two hands the number of people who had gone to conventions 5+ years ago and were still involved in wanting to go to another convention.
For everyone who is throwing suggestions out there here is some food for thought.
The biggest thing many you don't realize is just how much it costs to have a track day unless you are piggy backing on with another group. You are talking about $10k+ even for the smaller tracks. Thats money that needs to be paid up front to secure the track. Most tracks don't have open track days like Nelson either. In the past we had the SERCA organization that could front the money but those coffers evaporated.
Also having a track near a major metropolitan area helps quite a bit with attendance.
