Thread: Convention Build Status

I'm with ya Bes. Even if Jamie can get my car done, neither he nor I are confident we can get enough proper break in miles on a new motor to feel good about taking it to the track. We will see.

Same story every year. There's always a bunch of people who for some reason don't get their shit done. Lots of them bail because they think it won't be fun without their car. I refused to fly to a convention for years... I ain't going without my car, what's the point? I'd say. That all changed with the Chicago convention, then Vegas. Both were great, and I'm glad I went. Hell, I dragged Stratton with me up to CT. last year, even though I couldn't convince him to ride with me to PA when his tranny shit the bed 30 minutes into the trip, and I think he was kicking himself for not going. That was a damn good convention.

My car might be done in time, it might not. Unlike some of you hotshots, I'm not looking to break any records, or set the SR20 world on fire, but I'll be there one way or another.

Believe me, you WILL enjoy the convention with or without your SE-R.

One of my favorite rides around the Roebling Road Road Course in Savanah was in Martin's auto-tragic renta-PT-Cruiser. He was much faster in that thing, than I was in my Classic. I am pretty sure we were up on three wheels around some of those turns, the smell of burning brake pads like a fart in our wake. Fun as hell.

Agreed, im there with or without my car, i had so much fun at the GA convention even without a car. Come on guys, itll be fun even without the cars.

I gotta see if I have a definite cover for work. I appreciate the offer bro. I figure worst case scenario I can try to leave early from work and head there right after and make it by Saturday morning. I really won't know until like the week before. I would love to bring the sentra but I might go deaf halfway into the trip, lol.
