Yeah, It depends on if the track is an NHRA sanctioned track. If they are they are required at all times to abide by NHRA rules. They will alot of times give you a couple warnings before saying you cant make any more passes.
NHRA rules are 11.49 or faster requires at least a 5 point cage, a scatter shield, 5 point harness, and fire jacket.
Any vehicle with a power adder, nitrous, turbo, or supercharger that is not factory requires a fire jacket.
Any vehicle 9.99 or quicker requires an 8 point cage and a parachute for anything over 150mph traps.
Also another rule is anything faster than 135mph trap requires an NHRA 9 second license as well. I plan to have all my safety equipment on my car, cage, chute, 5 point harness, scatter shield, fire jacket and fire pants, Cage will be NHRA certified as well. I just hope they are lenient on the whole license thing because im not going to have time to get it. Most NHRA tracks Ive been to as long as you have the safety equip they dont really care.
Oh and helmet required anything 13.99 or faster or if you have a power adder thats not factory.
