Rob, according to NASA's CCR, SA1990 and newer is ok. Something's not right because my 95 was no good a few years ago. I'll clarify but I know the general rule is 10 years which would mean (to me if I was tech'ing you) that SA00 is no longer valid. I'll look into it though

Looking forward to the exact details. Keep in mind some of us are utterly ignorant on racing/road courses. You'll have to spell it out for my newb ass.

And does anyone know a good reputable place to buy a proper, approved helmet? Links or advice?

IIRC, Chuck at Bolt-In-Bars had some sort of hook-up on helmets a while back...(?).

I'll be sending funds to Ray on Monday. Damn skippy.

Also keeping in mind (and not singling anyone out... I'm definitely this way) some of us are CHEAP

I usually get my helmets from someplace online. I like my Bell helmets so I usually just google them and "remember" the online retailers:

Safe Racer
IO Port
Racer Wholesale
Summit Racing

There should be some local places to you that will likely be way more expensive than the internet but at least you can go in and size up your noggin. And different helmets fit differently too. Like a Bell XL might fit differently than a different company.

Not sure if anyone has hookups... maybe check in the motorsports section? And if there's nothing there, maybe ask... some of those guys might not be checking out this convention section.

When I get more info, I'll be able to pass it along as well as to explain anything additional, if necessary to make it crystal clear.

Thanks... we'll be on the lookout for your letter I have full confidence that the event will fill up. I'm hearing from people on forums I didn't even know existed! And I'm not even really marketing this thing yet!

I really want to go to this... The only problem I see is that this will be right around the time

I want to dig deep into the pulsar and get everything like I want it. Or should I just wait

and drive it up there like it is...? or tow it... lol.

Yes you should be able to till January of next year. 1/1/12 You need to be in SA2005 or newer.

NASA CCR is available online if you want to read through all the rules.

Look at page 41 or 42 I think on the CCR (their page number, not the PDF page number) and it says SA90 (!!!) or later. That's gotta be a typo. Sometimes I've even seen the rule around the changeover vary from region to region so that's why I want to speak with them in person to verify. I'll be seeing everyone in 3 weeks for the awards dinner anyway
