Gracias!
That makes total sense.

Well, with the stock seats, it's not so good. No submarine protection. With the shoulder protection you also need some rigid form of seatback for the belt so that it is not entirely compressing on your shoulder/neck/spine. So, now I just use the stock belts. Sucks in terms of staying in the seat but I'd MUCH rather be safe.
And
plenty of car publications glorify their "cover features" on street-cars with un-padded roll cages inside. Solid metal bars just inches from un-helmeted heads, incorrectly mounted "uber-kewl" harnesses on stock seats, etc...etc..etc... Which only exacerbates the problem.

Agreed.
I was perfectly fine at Roebling Road having
crazy-stupid-fun at what must have been laughably slow speeds to someone with a modicum of skills. However, I bet no one got any better of an adrenalin buzz, no matter how fast they went. I was lit the f*ck up
for days with the afterglow of that "track-induced natural high." Bringing me to a whole new understanding of the term "track junky."

No problem. I am very close to 100% ignorant on anything related to a track. I was reading your educated dialog with Keiran and just needed it clarified for me and my fellow track-noobs.
And I am not going to tell Keiran or the Officials about my stock seat-belt anchor-points being moved off my door and properly mounted onto my B-pillars where they belonged in the first place.
