I had already been thinking of running an event at VIR with Trackdaze in November, now I'm pretty sure we will take our refund and move it over to VIR. 2 days for $380, 4 30 minute sessions each day. Day 1 on the full course and Day 2 on the Grand Course (the same course Car and Driver uses for the annual Lightning Lap). Looks like a lot of fun.

We are of course in for whatever is going down in CT on the weekend the convention was originally planned.

I would definitely go if it's at VIR. What about Summit Point? It's in West VA, not too big so shouldn't be too expensive, heck I got redline MT90 cheaper from then, then online.

There are a LOT of clubs that run Summit's various tracks... trackdaze and NASA to name two.

The track doesn't run the catalogue that you're likely talking about getting redline from

Anything we do, we have to piggy back with another group. With just 10 people, there's no way in hell it would make financial sense to rent the track by ourselves....that would be ANY track, short of a karting facility.

I'm not sure why people are getting so negative about going to NJMP? It's one of the nicer facilities in the US. It's also relatively close to a lot of fun stuff, including the beach. With NASA running the event, you know it will be done right...it also won't be that expensive, relatively speaking. I think at this point, only the cool kids will be going... and I'm fine with that.

Hopefully, I'll be able to make it up to CT for the DEEP convention. I guess it all depends on what, when and where, relative to the track event and my work schedule. I'd really like to reunite with some old friends and meet some new ones. Isn't that was this is really about?

Joe S and Shawn B... I know you guys are still thinking about it. If you could let me know sometime in the next two weeks or so so that we can square things away?

I'm inclined to still head east ("Never been any reason, for me to think about you...") and meet some SR20-heads somewhere and drive my Classic around a track.

If you get that song reference, you are an old fart.

I'm with Hank on pretty much all of that. Would like to coordinate into my plans both a Deep Event and some track activities.

A smaller event than a Convention, but still a dozen or two SR20 die-hards?

Sounds like an excellent reason for me to drive half-way across the U.S..

Lookin' forward to the information.

Obviously how I formulate my plans rests on how you guys are formulating your plans.

Info will be out tonight or tomorrow morning. The dozen or two SR20 heads is way off... we pull about 120 people to just local meets.
