if so how is this a group rate? I was able to reserve a room online for $85.00 ($80 if you prepay) a night for a double queen room and It was good for 4 people per room at no extra charge. Am I missing something here?

It's a group rate, because it's guaranteed until 4 July 2011. Standard rates are flexible, and subject to cancellation at any time. Entering into a contract for a group rate means that the hotel by law cannot change the rate until the predetermined time at which unused rooms are allowed to be sold at market rates. As we get closer to the summer months, you can bet that you're going to pay more for a room than the advertised $89/night group rate.
