If you tell them 20-30 rooms USUALLY they'll ask for a card or something to guarantee. My sister got screwed years ago for her wedding because she did this and 2-3 rooms weren't used and she was still charged. Tell them that you want the 20-30 rooms but only want them held till, say, 7/1. At that time, the rooms are no longer reserved and our group rate has expired. The hotel gets the unused rooms back to be used for other potential guests and any procrastinators from our camp pays the going rate and it's on a first-come, first-served basis. You snooze you lose.
Oh and prices on the registration site are going up tomorrow. They were supposed to go up 5/1 but I've been lazy. So... anyone on the fence, you'd be smart to register *TONIGHT* Everything will be going up a few bucks here and there
