I for one wont be doing the track day just because I will be too damn drunk to drive or wake up for it and if ShawnB is baking some of them brownies i know damn well you dont want me on the track

I wanna be there at least as a spectator ...the trackday is still up in the air as of now for me.I hope I can get a lap or two riding with a decent driver at the very least,if I cant get a car up there with me.

I'm not tracking haha My car I'm not sure is able to be tracked. I just wanna have a badass weekend with some sweet cars and hit up a beach. This is a vacation for me so that's why I wanna know whats up with it. I just wish we could be closer to the ocean for one and have a huge turnout. Can we get this up on some of the other nissan forums so we can try to get a bigger turn out?

Right now it seems like the hotel can be ANYWHERE, since I don't believe there's been a post by the car show guy as to where the show will even take place. I mean, booking the hotel should be the easy part for them, and see how that went...

The attendees are up here:
2011 Nissan-Infiniti National Convention : Attendees

In addition to what's listed there (I just haven't had the time and/or motivation):
Nathan added a few items
Bruce Hearn has registered for track day, meet&greet, picnic, raffle tickets, t-shirt/hat
Luis Lucena has registered for track day, meet&greet, and carshow
Cliff added a track day
Joe Schintzius added meet&greet, carshow, raffle tickets, t-shirt/hat
Randy Cresci added meet&greet, picnic, carshow, raffle tickets, t-shirt/hat
Jan Vasys added attendance

Above and beyond those registered and those above, there are a LOT of other people who've expressed interest in one way, shape, or form. MANY people have filled out the "interested" form on the website. I've added them all to a mailing list and repeatedly pleaded for registration from those people (as some of you on that mailing list know) with limited results.

Again, limited (if any) results with lots of people expressing interest but not "manning up"

With regard to the question of attending Meet & Greet, if you're only attending just to check things out and not tracking a car and not doing the carshow and not doing the picnic, no, you don't have to do the meet & greet. *IF* it winds up being big though, you might kick yourself since this is a good opportunity to meet everyone all in one place and not when they're scattered around the paddock at the track, all over the parking lot at the hotel, or all over the place at a carshow/picnic of sorts.

Overall, it seems like a lot of people just think that I'm going to release the location of the carshow and they're just going to show up and crash it so to speak. So there are lots of people not registering because of that.

There are also a lot of people taking the "wait and see" approach which will not work when they all wait too long and I have to make a decision (the decision date is quickly approaching... end of this month at the latest hopefully sooner)

There's also lots of people that I see who're complaining that there aren't enough people going to make it worth their while. This, as we all know, is a totally BS excuse. If we all had that attitude, we'd all be sitting around with our dicks in our hand waiting for "everyone else" to register before we did and we'd be in a stalemate.

I thought we had a good team together to organize the convention. Not any one person let me down... several have. And I've let myself down and lack the motivation mostly because of the lack of response. Listen, we’re all poor. We all don’t want to commit to spending any more money than we HAVE to. We’re all busy with other things outside of cars with our own personal issues. I, personally, am not lacking in personal issues and drama. I would love to have a great convention like we had in 2006 but those putting their money where their mouth is don’t seem to be there. As I’ve said, when we get to the point of making a decision, we’ll do what we have to do. Those still wanting to come to an event of some sort, I’ll still work with them and try to work out something on a smaller scale. And, if that winds up happening, we’ll just have a smaller gathering of cars at the track and we’ll keep the location of a scaled back picnic/carshow to ourselves and all of you who want to just show up and pay nothing won’t know where to even try to find us.

I like this attitude. I am making the drive regardless and I once again don't own a Nissan anymore. I just don't get the excuse generators... Going to be fun without them being negative at the convention.

x3!

I posted the convention on a couple sites listed and 1 guy asked if I'd pay his way, since I posted it's ONLY $10 to register. Said he didn't have a job...

Then after posting that, guy bought a $8k+ car (vq'd sentra) and goes on "fun runs" every week...

Needless to say, I've BEEN done with excuses as well.

Don't get me wrong, I want to come. I just need to know how much the hotel is before I can register. Pretty much all I'm waiting on. So once this is up I will register, as long as I have the money then and there to do so.

Who cares about exact hotel cost? Share if you can't afford room by yourself. I signed up at start of year and still don't care what hotel or where or how much. I want it to be cheap but hotel costs are hotel costs. They aren't going to be in some unexpected range.

If you can't afford one most people are in I bet that there is another hotel somewhere close by cheaper... Or if you want a nicer hotel you can pay more somewhere else... Hotels aren't rare.

LMGTFY:

$82/night with taxes and fees included at the Holiday Inn Express @ Vineland, NJ. You can expect similar hotels in the area to be of similar cost...
