Uuuugh! I hated the Toyo 4's with a PASSION.

I'm looking into either Dunlop Direzza Star Specs, or Hankook Ventus V12 EVO's. Evo's have a better price point, but I still can't decide

Almost everyone I've talked to says *'s hands down, but then again I don't track the car frequently enough to choose them. I may just get the Kook's since it rains a lot in MD, and they do better in wet according to several reviews.

i never had any issues with the toyos, and i am on my 3rd set. i do want something different, but i dunno what to get in the form of an all season high performance tire.

To hell with it, bit the bullet and ordered the V12 Evo's.

4 Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110

4 CERTIFICATES FOR REFUND OR REPLACEMENT

And all for $450 delivered. The Tires were $100 Each!!! Damn cheap considering I was about to spend $140 each for the Star Specs.

And the reasoning:

Tire Test: Nine Affordable Summer Tires Take On the Michelin PS2 - Comparison Tests - Auto Reviews - Car and Driver

They placed #2 overall, with 113 points. That's three points down from the Star Specs.

Well, I guess my thoughts are because I'm going with summer only tires, that will come off during winter.

Even when N/A with the SR20DE in my SE-R, the Proxes 4's were like grease on a hot pan. I had traction issues with them something awful.
