B13's plenty of fun, too. It's hard to pick but I'd almost say this is my favorite course or at least my favorite in a 200 mile radius from home.

It's wet here and drying out, and was my first outing to the Lightning Course, literally the first 10 minutes I spent on the that track in May 2009, so 'xcuse the mistakes, please Great course for low power car, too, with some late braking you can really maintain your speed. During our TT I was running ~80 mph true avg lap speed. The modified yellow Z06 in the second vid ran FTD with an avg speed around 88 mph.

Afternoon session same day have wide open track for practice session, much faster. Lol, I'm chasing this damn Honda only to later find out he's running a built 250hp K20 motor...and Hoosiers, in a stripped track car. I'm running street tires and full interior, etc. LOL, def a little Red Mist at around 5 minutes in when I pull back on him due to traffic...

Looks like a great track. Your car is dying for a VE man. You definetly got everything else in line.

Man the guy in the 911 brakes early and abruptly, he's all over the place. Def would have caught me by surprise at the end of the straight. I love turn 1, I still have yet to find how fast I can take it w/o dancing on the edge, I just don't have the speed off the straight yet, running around 7000-7200 rpm in 4th gear (idk mph, since I rarely look at the speedo).

I agree, it's the better of the two courses. I also like the fact it's highly visible everywhere and they run 11-12 corner stations, when the inevitable happens you're not surprised by finding a car sideways in front of you - the yellows are up half a lap back in the same second. The track is a great example of a "clean sheet" design. About the only safety gaffe I see is the bridge area, but you're on a straight section of track, so not a big deal. Just seems dumb to run a bridge with concrete walls 90 deg to the direction of travel of the cars. Otherwise all the corners have good runoff it people get a little over their heads, very safe course considering how fast it is.

I'm pretty happy with the current power and I'm constrained pushing the limits of SCCA Solo FSP rules or ST4 track classification, any real power changes and I'm into Street Modified classes where I really wouldn't be competitive. The car runs 143 whp peak now, and will run all day at 7000 or above - I ran one 60 minute session full just to see how things held up, and it was in the low 80's out, no problems other than a little greasy handling when I over-cooked the tires a little, more driver than car issue.

Late afternoon, remarkable by the appearance of a vintage Aston Martin DB4...same damn white EG again with his K20A2 race motor, too. He's got easily 50-100 hp on me, and probably 400 lbs lighter car on Hoosiers. The fact I can even keep him in sight was a good sign. Won my class in the TT that day, too, ran faster than most of the cars in the next class up.

At 2'53" last part of the light bulb, the car is doing a full drift toward the outside, all I could do was keep my foot to the floor and hope there was a enough track left

If anything there I'm dying running Kumho XS' instead of a comp tire. I couldn't keep it FT through the light bulb and it also really shows in the turn after the bridge. More traction needed.

If I change anything, more likely I'll drop in the JWT C2's off my shelf before it sees a swap. They were good for +35-40 whp peak, @7000+, I have the tune for the C2's in the same JWT ECU with it's clever little switch setup. I'll only do that if it looks like I can't run a full TT series in 2011, which is likely due to competing demands for time and money.

^^^I need to get back on track . Its been since like 08.

The car sounds great. You have to love the Sr20 for its deeper tone compared to the Hondas. SuperblackZ what type of exhaust are you running?

Thanks, it's a sweet sounding motor at high revs unlike a lot of Honda engines.

Exhaust - custom, mostly Magnaflow:
SSAC header, 2.5" SSAC DP into Magna HFC, Magna resonator, Magna Perf Core muffler, custom 2.5" or 2.75" SS pipe all the way, with a fairly small tip (long but not large diameter). Full 3" O.E.M. CAI w/JWT popcharger on the fender end made it sound a little deeper, too.

Kumho XS street tires 205/50/15 half worn, Wilwood Fastbrakes F with Ferodo 2500 pads, B15 rear disc conversion with OEM pads. NABCO U13 MC and Crown SS/kevlar lines from GregV, Motul Fluid.

[edit] now use Nitto NT01's and Ferodo 3000's, works even better and very easy swap out for the pads at an event.
