Better to get a lot of track time and work on my line than risk blowing things up. She pulls up the tach at the end of the first straight and yes that was 9k

i love how a day on the track helps you find your cars weak links..

my most glaring was my teflon coated brake pads..

Yeah, I have a B15 tranny and never had any problem other than a little notchiness during shifting. Wide open on the track is a different story. I now realize why the grinding at the tranny end of the shift stabilizer rod is so critical on the b15 into a b13 swap.

And the overheating issue has been resolved. Late late Sunday driving from the Uhaul place in Nashville to Rodney's house I didn't even get to 150 on the water temp gauge. On the Monday drive home in the heat of the afternoon I saw only 170 on the open road and when we hit heavy traffic driving through Atlanta, I hooked up the fan jumper and didn't go over 200.

Changes your priorities, too.

That's why I think more people on these forums need to get out on a track, not only to see how good of a driver these other people are (like the OGs), but to see what mods really matter.

Yea but we made up for it on the hotel van ride. To be honest i think I gave 5 or 6 rides myself. I was suprised how well the mini done.
I love the No lift shift option.

i've been toying with the idea of polishing them and doing some sort of super strong clear coat. it would be cool if there was a clear powder coating, as it's a far more durable coating than paint.

i'm open to ideas... but it won't be until after this warm season when my winter tires are on..
