i realize it won't happen this year but any thoughts on doing a 'time trial' track event at a future event (timing people's hot lap times) and having a spot for all the track-times to be posted?

The problem with that is there is usually not enough transponders available for everyone.

We'd almost need SCCA sponsorship at the event....

Chris - If you and a few others want transponders, I'll PERSONALLY do my damnedest to get them for you.

We already have and AMB Transponder hard-wired on our 95 G20 (required for NASA Time Trials anyway)

Are you talking about AMB transponders or something else?

For something that not everyone participates in you could do it with a good stopwatch. I have an AIM lap timer and beacon so if others have timers that will work off the same beacon that will help.

In LA we dis it with hot lap timers.

Are you guys headed out Chris? I thought you had a conflicting event?

we have to be at Autobahn Full track Monday the 7th with MVP (instructing) and since my contract ends June 30th, I really can't miss more work than I am (as it is I am working 2 weeks in a row of four 10 hours days so I can get my 40 hours a week in still - this week I had to make up for the holiday and next week I have to make up for monday the 7th)




Maybe next year?


..and we have Traqmate in our cars anyway (I just thought it would be cool to have official timing for everyone that could be posted is all).. but it sounds like that won't be possible regardless (it was a thought anyway)

nope. my sr24vvl is STILL awaiting parts. tracking a rental sedan, just wouldn't be the same. see-y'all next time.
