For a few laps... but not at the end of the day with no brakes or tires left, a STUPID driver, and a giggling navigator.

Happy Birthday by the way

um guys, the point of this thread that joe started was not to debate where next year or the year after or the year after will or should be. We can all debate that till we're blue in the face. The point is that without support for the "current" convention which would be 6/3-6/6 in Omaha, there WILL NOT be a next year to debate where it should be.

Now... who from Miami will be in Omaha to see how a convention is run so that when someone throws out the idea of hosting a convention in Miami, those loaning the startup money will feel comfortable that the organizers have actually attended a convention and know what's really going on and what needs to be done?

it's local to me so i'll be there. Finacially though is a different and the way the car sits now, I won't allow it to go on the track for your's and my safety. The 8th mile might be a different story though.

i been wanting to go each year for convention.. savannah ga , and this one and all the ones in the past but unfortuneately work wont allow it and also financially unreasonable for me to go either. i wish that i can do something to help out but of course sales is close to nill for me either way.

i urge you guys to go this year either way.. make a great turnout for us.. even though we are a smaller community than others.

Best post so far. Location is key. i think we need to start thinking of the places that have had the most succes in conventions and keep it at that. If we want to survive then we need to go where we have had the most turn outs. We cant sit here and try and make it fair for everyone and have it in diffrent places of the united states when not all parts are going to be good choices. It seems like everytime we have a eastern cost convention it turns out great... Lets face it not many people will go somewhere in the middle of nowhere for a convention. Specially when the economy still sucks ( no offense ) Better locations will net better turnouts... New York Florida Gorgia. Didnt PA have one that was good? Hell maybe Texas. Vegas was a bust and it seem the distance for this years convention will kill the turnout.. This is my opinion guys....

Amen Brother!

It is easy to says let's have it in ................. because there are a bunch of guys in that area. Truth is, it is soooooooo much more work to run a convention than 90% of you realize. Show up, support those doing the work this year, and then worry about where 2012 will be. I'm confident Kieran and Ray have next year totally under control.

Thanks Joe... we're holding back as of yet so as to not step on Torry and the Nico guys' (and gals') toes. I've been preaching this year's convention to anyone in the Nissan and Infiniti community that'll listen to me so far.

I know that feeling. I was preaching the "Please go to Vegas message" for the second half of 2008 until the convention was over. Then I went all out in getting the word out regarding Savannah.
