There a 1/4mile track near? Maybe instead of the drift us SE-R guys can just go there instead of watching drifting. ( I have nothing against drifting) But most of us cannot do that.

You'll NEVER be as fast as me Nor will Keo. Hell, he can't even finish a project...

As far as drift goes, I'm not concerned with that. Track day is where it's at! I'm not sure about the drag strip on Saturday, I thought the drift track and the dragstrip were on two separate courses? Either way, I'm sure there's another 1/4mi. track close by. I'll actually be there for the picnic this year

Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna (if it is still there) is about 1 1/2 hours away. They have a 1/4 mile dragstrip and a banked half mile oval with some infield roads. If anyone is Se-Rious, we might be able to rent the oval for a SR20 only track day on Saturday. The local Fox Valley Sports Car Club ran autocross there 20 years ago, when I lived there.

Road America is 4 miles long with 13 turns. That's a lot of corners to work. Rent won't be cheap. I don't think there would be enough SR20 guys to make the track day affordable.

I saw the original Can-Am cars run close to 200 mph on the straight before braking for a 90 degree left hand turn (#5). Rent the movie "Winning" starring Paul Newman for some good RA (fake) action. That is where he picked up his interest in racing.

If you want to know the maximum speed your car can go, this is the place.

Hopefully this comment is for SR20 cars only, cause I saw him driving something NASTY on Saturday.

It could even be billed as
"The SR20 National Convention featuring an all-Nissan Track Day at Road America"

Because how many SR20/SE-R events are there in a year? One. How many all-Nissan events a year? A bunch?
How many all-Nissan people is this going to attract at the risk of alienating SR20 people who no longer have an event they can embrace as their own?

Why don't we call it what it is, the end of the SE-R Convention, and the start of a new NICO event?
Is there a reason it needs to be called a 'continuation' of the SR20 Convention, when it has nothing to do with the SR20 Convention? If thats the case, is it still possible for NICO to have that event, and someone in our community put on an SR20-specific event?

I apologize if I'm that guy, but I think it warrants a discussion sooner than later.
