Take a deep breath guys. I just got off the phone with Torry. Face book will not allow him to schedule more than a year in advance, once we are in June he will change the dates. The correct dates and preliminary schedule are as follows:

Thursday May 27, 2010 - Meet & Greet @ hotel tbd
Friday May 28, 2010 - Track Day @ Road America Full Course
Saturday May 29, 2010 - Drift Day @ Road America Motorplex Circuit
Sunday MAy 30, 2010 - Car Show & Picnic @ location tbd

No, it's next year (it even says 2010 in the body of the message). He just made a typo. I really don't care that Nico is doing the convention, many of you may not realize that the convention almost died. Old timers had been predicting impending doom for several years. Vegas had an extremely low turnout and things were looking bleak.

Then came Joe, who did an amazing job for this year's convention. It breathed some new life and hope into the future of the convention, but it's tough to keep that kind of momentum going. I'm glad Nico wants to join in and be a part.



I don't particularly like how that is worded. Is the SE-R convention officially dead?

Yeah me and Joe had a talk in Chicago at the convention... The whole idea was to do the convention to keep the SER CONVENTION going.
I have no problem with other cars coming. I know Nico forums helped a ton this year. However i dont want a drift day at our SER convention. It is supposed to be a few days of SER guys hangin out! Doing a track day, drinking some beer and shooting the ****. Not a few days of different events with a bunch of different cars.

I doesn't have to... we should try to keep this a civilized discussion. Getting heated doesn't really help anything.

i have no problem with anybody. theres people that been apart of this way longer then i have. i been a member since 06. i would just like to keep the ser convention name

hopefully by that time i hav a towing vehical and the VE B14 will be ready, but i kinda like how it was only us SER guys


drift day FTL

After this years event put on by the Nole himself, I don't care WHAT they call it. As long as there's a track day, and lots of people go, I'm happy. I had more fun in the hotel parking lot until 3 am, the track day, and driving thru Augusta, thru tornado warnings, just to go to a mall.

It's more about the people than the cars. Hell, I may not even take the SE-R depending on if I can get it done (again) or not.
