I agree on both counts. I was really looking forward to Road America, but the economic reality is that it just wasn't going to happen. MId America looks nice,and being out in the middle of nowhere isn't that bad. It means that no one will be bothered by the parking lot "after party"

Yeah, as it was, it was going to be more expensive than any previous year (for NICO, not necessarily for everyone else) but we were willing to take the hit to make the convention huge. But then RA doubled the price, which just made it ridiculous.

We're now getting Mid-America for 3 full days to ourselves for about 4 grand less than the original quote from RA, which is a no-brainer to me.

Depending on who else's car I need to tow, We'll go halvsies on a two car trailer and you can ride with the wife and I. Depends on what Jensen will be doing (whether he trusts his car to make the drive or not).

Ok, so 3 days = Road Course day, Drag Strip day, and ????? day

So what is the price going to be for the track day?

Drift day

Time will tell. Since I'll be in his neck of the woods permanently by the first of the year, I'll have plenty of time to convince him to take off and come out to play.

1st day will be road course during the day and drag at night. 2nd day is going to be drift and rallyx. 3rd day will be car show, awards, etc. We'll have the permission to use the track on all 3 days, but I'm not sure we're going to plan anything on sunday just because the car show and awards will take up a good bit of time. We're still working out the schedule though, so we may have something Sunday morning (tandem drifting exhibition maybe)? We're not sure yet. As for the price, we're still working on that as well.

Oh, and FYI, we are planning to do the awards and car show on the track property by the lake.
