Thread: battery to the trunk *UPDATE* FINISHED!

not really a write up but just wanted to post it up. Basically fallowed the steps for toolapcfan and how he installed his set-up on his b13.

I got off my lazy butt and did something today. i installed my Odyssey Pc680 battery in the trunk today.
here we !

installed in the old OEM jack spot.

out of the trunk into the back seats and up to the front

gotta protect the wire and those sharp edges

coming around and tucked under the carpet past the drivers side seat


put a slice in the OEM spot where the harness is and sealed it back up for good measure

JDM zip ties R DE poop

here is how it sits now, and waiting for tomorrow to clean up the engine bay with all those wires, yuck!

up front by the pedals, you'll never know

here is the only thing I'm worried about right now, the terminal is close to the trunk lining so i hope it doesn't get to warm or i might need to place that somewhere else


P.S. the battery breaker is off right now so there is not Hot feed in the wire right now, plus anyways the battery is dead and needs a recharge

damn you beat me to it. i was going to mount mine in the same location but with a different kind of mount so the battery is easily removed and replaced:

damn those are clean, i never seen those before. i was going to get the black tie down, but why pay extra when it is just going to hide away.


double sided adhesive that has always done wonders for me.

well when I need a new battery I think I will go this route next. Came out really nice man.

it's made by password so check their section and i believe it's under electronics. you can also get an aluminum one like his from summit racing and serban carries it too (part # 680TRAY)

edit: they are under the Engine section. the reason i did not post the direct link for you is there are a whole bunch of different kinds that you can check out. everything from the carbon to the ones where you can remove the battery.

You have a projectile mounted in your trunk! PLEASE BOLT IT DOWN!!!!!!!!! DOuble sided adhesive WILl come off eventually with the heat created in the trunk. Last thing you want is a carbeque because you used stuff designed to hang posters to hold down your battery. Great install otherwise!
