Thread: control arm with bushings or bushings which is easier to do

which is easier to do ?

i found online that a full pair of lower control arms and ball joints for about 200 dollars shipped.

is it easier to swap everything or is it easier to replace bushings.

keep in mind this is my daily driver as well.

The difference is the downtime of bringing the part to get pressed out. If you have a place that can press out the bushings immediately its definitely the way to go.

Do you want to upgrade or just refresh the stocks. I would at least upgrade to the ES bushings and get some new MOOG ball joints. It will keep things stiff but it should not cause any over the top changes. Do you have any other suspension mods? Shocks? Springs? Any plans for the future for suspension mods?

trying to keep it stock. planning on getting rid of this car in the near future but need it at least safely operational

Then get the factory control arms and be done. no point on spending the time and effort.

well i forgot to add that im currently on gr2 and pro kits with koni bump stops.

Lui... If you are getting rid of the car. Just leave them the way they are. And tell the next person :if you are selling it yourself: that they need to be replaced. No real need in doing something that you really don't need to do if you don't have to.

6 months is the rule for me. If you plan to sell it before the end of the year don't do it. If its only $200 and you will drive it more than 200 miles a week get the full control arms and install them. Use white-out on the suspension before you take it apart so it all lines up.
