@blckse-r yeah i've seen that. I actually have VHT Nite Shade and was about to do it but kinda just looks like a little darker orange than "gone". Thats why I was gonna try that paint I showed you in the chat, get them looking more like this the ones on the left. That was done with that paint. The pic on the right is what I wish I could do, but I dont think the orange is a removable plastic piece inside. Otherwise I would just open it up and remove it.

I would agree with speedricer that it looks like more of a dark orange. Not that it looks bad or anything. I would suggest doing a coat or two off clear over the painted part so it matches the rest of the tail light better. OR paint the entire light with the night shade paint. Im curious as to what paint speedricer is talking about.

Testors 1605 Spray Candy Red Enamel Model Paint. Once it warms up enough that the paint wont orange peel from the cold weather (which wont be for awhile) I going to try it on a spare set of tails I got from the junkyard.

Yes the Nite Shades did turn it to a dark orange but I am satisfied enough with it. What I was trying to show you guys was the Datsun emblem I put on lol.

That is kinda cool haha, no one rocks the Datsun badge!

I still think the tails would look better with a coat of clear over the part you painted. It wouldnt stand out so much. My thought anyway.

I have all mine done in all red film by a friend. My nx and se-r have all red.
Best of all it can be peeled and redone.Not permanent like paint.


These are old pics...so no laughing at my fartcans,and the nx was still at stock height back then! Both cars have Vibrant now..LOL

I remember I was gonna sending some corners to tint for me, on my B13 but then I just went Tsuru....with shipping i dunno if its worth it though, if he's even still doing that for people not local. I dont mine permanent though cause at my point would I ever think "Man i wish I could get that orange back" lol!

nope not mirrortints ...its tearoffguy....he isnt on here much these days.,and only does work locally these days.
He was losing his ass on doing these and shipping them.He was just basically doing it for forum members because he a good guy.
He could probably find you a tinter that does this local to you,as he is connected with tinters worldwide via forums.

Aw damn, thats who I meant, i got them mixed up.....yeah. Well if you talk to him, see if me might. Might be an alternative to the painting
