Thread: 1997 se-r fuel pump removal question

hello everyone, got a question on my fuel pump removal. so I have the float assembly out of the tank and the pump is housed in some kind of plastic box attached to the bottom of the tank. my question is how do you remove the pump "Box" from the bottom? I have never seen this before. They are usually one piece assemblies. Thanks in advance.

if I remember correctly this should be a clip on the box kinda like a fuse box you take the top off and then the fuel pump in the filter comes right up

Also, for those of us who work in a high suicide rate atmosphere, wear kevlar sleeves. My wrists were shredded from the edges of the tank.
