96 b14 se-r clutch cable adjustment help
i have a fairly new clutch in my b14 and i had to replace my cable because is snapped on me but when i replaced the cable an adjusted it my clutch still grabs at the top of my peddle any suggestions? my old cable before it broke when i had it adjusted it would grab in the middle like its supposed to.

whether the clutch and cable are oem or not could be the reason.

Have fun; my experience with B14 clutch cables is NOT good. They seem to be more finicky than the B13's, sometimes the cable stretches, sometimes the cable needs to be tightened all the way. This inclues OEM ones

Have you tried the 1.6L cables from nissan dealer? I always use 1.6L cables they are shorter

You just need to loosen the adjustment, usually I like to see about 1/8" freeplay at the clutch arm, but on the SR's I tend to leave them fairly loose , the more freeplay you have the lower the clutch will engage ..... Lots of freeplay will not hurt anything , but no freeplay will cause the clutch to drag and wear out !! If your running out of freeplay you have the wrong cable or a crappy brand !!

Look in the how to section, I believe there is 2 different ways to get it to give you more adjustment
