Thread: Non evasive weight reduction

I know this sounds crazy to a lot of you. But I'm getting older and want all the luxurious items in my car.

What are some things you guys took out to reduce weight. Beyond the normal stuff in the trunk.

Keep in mine my car isn't a race car either

you can take out the tar under the carpet and save about 50 lbs using dry ice and put the carpet back in

If you dont care about nvh there is a rubber insulator on the crossmember that weighs a few pounds, it comes off with bolts.

Ok I like that. Need more ideas. Car weight in at 2505 right now with half tank of fuel.

Rear seatbelts if you dont need them.

I always thought taking out the spare tire and jack helped. Although catching a flat tire isn't the easiest thing to deal with at that point.
