Thread: DET Swap Transmission Mount Issue

Ok, I have searched and searched and cannot find anyone else with this issue. I have a B14 that had a GA with a 5spd. I now have a DET from the GTiR and cannot for the life of me get the driver side tranny bracket/mount to line up. I am fully prepared to take abuse as long as I can get this stupid thing on!!! Any help is appreciated!!!

What transmission are you using/mount? If your using the ga mount forget it. You need the 2.0 mount for it to work with the bracket thats attached to the body. At least thats what I had to do for my b13 sr swap! Hope this helps.

Thanks I thought I did have the 2.0 mount even though some say you only need it when swapping to a 5spd from an auto. Either way, right after I posted this, the planets lined up, the Matrix had a glitch and Ashton Kutcher flapped some butterfly wings and it lined up. It took a bit of persuasion, but I got it there in the end. Do you mind taking a pic of your setup for comparison? Thanks!

Yeah somtimes thats all it take is a lil persuasion. I'll see if I can't get a pic tonight or tomorrow. Can't get a good look at it in any of the photos in my photo bucket.

You need to use a BX Mount.
