well i have a 96 ga1de 200sx

I want to put a 2.0 in it
i have $2400
should i go with the pulser gtir 2.0 turbo or the 2.0 turbo or is there even a difference.
or should i go 2.0 vvl
i use this car for daily driving and autocross.
Im a rookie to nissans but i willing to learn and do i build thread here on this project please help this rookie!!

vvl is cheaper (motor only) you still need all the swap parts wich will add up (trust me I know as I did the 1.6 to 2.0 and auto to manual swap) buy all the swap parts first then see how much you have. you can get JDM na sr20de for very cheap at most places. Good luck but $2400 is not going to get you very far if you buy quality parts or refresh everything before just throwing it together.

If I were you I'd sell your car (assuming that 1.6 is still running well), take that ~2k add it to your $2400 and get a real nice B13 or a nice B14 that is already swapped.

If you are dead set on swapping your car, you have to weigh what kind of power and complexity you want. The VE is going to be the simplest, then the turbos. Turbos will be torquey, but not as linear. If I were building a autocross build I'd rather have a VE.

Have you driven a turbo car or a revvy 4 cylinder? They are both completely different and it is a personal preference.

Well im set on swaping I have alot of money in the suspention! But im looking to buy a motor and do the swap my self! So where is a great place to buy a motor?
The ga16 lasted 270000 miles and then failed but I was close to 150 horses lol
