Thread: Question about sway bar clamp bolts

I just purchased my 1998 200sx se-r about 3 weeks ago and was cleaning out the glove box yesterday and I found an old inspection sheet (dated from 03 and 50k miles ago) from the previous private party owner and noticed they wrote one of the front sway bar mounting bracket (clamp) bolts is missing. This morning I crawled under my car and noticed it was still missing! I called the dealership parts department and they said a bolt was $13!! My question is a twofold one, what kind of damage should I expect and/or look for and do Sentra B-14 bodies have the same type of bolts that I could cheaply acquire from a junk yard?

There should not be any damage. Just poor handling and maybe some rattling. I think the SE front bar maybe of a different size, but the clamp bolts could be the same. Why not take out the other one and take it to HD or Lowes or an auto parts store and see if they can match it?
