Thread: quick temp sensor question

Thinking bout picking up this SE-R for cheap, owner said it's throwing a CEL he had read saying temperature sensor needs replaced. Question is, I have a wrecked 200sx SE with the GA16DE engine, could I pull it from there and just swap them to see if it fixes the CEL. Also where is it located and is it hard to do?

Looks like they are the same according to Rockauto, but there is various plug types so you'll have to confirm they are the same visually.

It's located on the pass side below the IACV (idle air control valve).

I'm not sure where that is located either, know where Icould maybe find a diagram. Yeah i figure they are the same, i was gonna go check out this SE-R and take the sensor from my SE to see if it turns off the CEL
