91 vs 19
Okay,

My mods:
91 intake cam
2.5'' CB
SRI

Friends :
19 degree timing
SRI

Well to sum it up, my friends car pulls so much harder than mine! Does the timing adv really give more power than my intake cam? I am a newb, S-ER 101 me lol.

um okay.

I love torque, but my 200 pulls like a honda.. it's the 2.5 piping. I guess sacrifice torque for hp.

19 degrees helps you burn fuel better, but you also have to run premium fuel, otherwise you'll get detonation and after long enough destroy the engine.

91 intake cam lets your engine breath better up top. So you have more power up top than he does but he has more power everywhere else since hes running more timing.

So you'll have him up top, but while you get there he already walked you since he has more power down low than you.

Thanks! That clears up a lot. I know there's a billion threads on this, but could I run 17 degrees with 87 oct? Here they only sell up to 91

Where's "here"?

91 at above 2000ft asl is the same as 93 below 2000ft asl.

19 degrees timing with 91 depending on your location is absolutely fine. Less Oxygen = Less octane req'd.
