Thread: oil problem

recently i did an oil change with new oil filter, now im leaking oil where the transmission meets the engine and somewhere under the intake manifold.. what can this be (Note it's a GA16DE motor)

rear main seal but for the one under the IM i dunno. generally blown headgaskets wont leak oil just let the coolant and oil mix causing a brown frothy mixture.

well before i change my oil and the oil filter, it was leaking from there, but since i change everything its still leaking around that area

For the IM leak, its the sensor for the thingy... Cant think right now. Sounds like you had contaminated oil eating seals. Could also just be the valve cover seal. Wash and wipe every thing down and then start it up.

On the SR-20, the oil pressure sensor (for the dash light) is on the back of the block under the intake manifold. They often develop a leak at the wire connections.
