Snapped Speed Sensor B14
Hey everyone I went to take out my speed sensor which deaded my speedo... I noticed it is different from the I thouht it was the original 97 b14 sensor, but its flat and metal...so i'm guessing its a b13 sensor. Now its freakin stuck, didn't check this when I bought the car. So I had a hard time removing it from the Trans. While pulling it broke. is this a Tranny removal job or is this a quick vice grip tug and pull?

Sensor I Need To Install

Sensor that is stuck inside B13

The b13 is a mechanical speed sensor, the b14 is electronic.I didn't see what car you are putting this in,but the two sensors are not interchangeable. Cable vs. electrical.

Nevermind.I misread your post, making mine seem stupid
Maybe wiggle or rock the car back and forth in gear and pull?

cool gotcha Here's Clarification...Its 97 200sx SE-R with SR20VE Guts, The Speedom was malfunctioned so i jumped into Proscan on the ECU... nothing. I followed the Harness Plug in..It was cut. I looked at the VSS and I saw a metal sensor (B13) with a small tube sitting in the hole. I have pulled and pulled won't budge. Could it be interlocked? Please tell me i don't have to drop tranny to remove. ^^HIGH HOPES^^

No, after removing the bolt it should be removable. You may need to put in some effort though, they can get quite stuck. Also, try to keep the cable on it, you'll have more grip on it.

Going to grease it with penetration spray...hopefully it comes out easy. I think the previous owner was going for an NX Digital Swap.
